What is pH Test : Breif Introduction

pH test is the national wide aptitude test conducted by Elitmus evaluation Pvt ltd to test your natural abilities. Test mainly designed to test your natural abilities than your technical knowledge.  It is a pen and paper test. You will be given a question paper and a OMR sheet to fill the answers. Elitmus never conduct online test.

Elitmus Test Pattern

pH test contains 3 sections in question paper.

  1. Quantitative aptitude
  2. Analytical Reasoning
  3. Verbal ability

Each section contains 20 questions with total 60 questions. Test duration is two hours with maximum marks of 600. All are objective questions with multiple choice options. Questions have been divided into several difficulty levels. So your score not only depends on number of questions you attempted or answered correctly. It also depends on difficulty level of question you have attempted and how other test takers performed on that question too. So be careful while choosing the question, it is better to attempt one tough question than two easy questions.

This is not the fixed test pattern. Test pattern may change some times as Elitmus experts always working on the patterns which can draw best measure of your abilities. The test measures an expansive scope of abilities that you have picked up all through your education. It doesn’t test your capability in a particular interests or subjects. It presumes just a nature with secondary school level arithmetic, and some capability in vital English dialect abilities.

Is calculator allowed for Elitmus test? Many of you may come across this question. The answer is ‘’No’’, any kind of gadgets are strictly prohibited in the exam hall.

Books to Prepare for Elitmus Test

Questions dificulty level will be high, so prepare well for the exam. Read every topic thoroughly and practice more and more problems. There are no particular books for Elitmus preparation. These are some best books for preparation.

  • Quantitative Aptitude for CAT By Arun Sharma.
  • Logical Reasoning for CAT by Arun Sharma.

Above two books are enough for Quantitative aptitude and Analytical Reasoning. For verbal you need to improve your vocabulary first. Please check this website (http://www.vocabulary.com) for improving your vocabulary. Try to read grammar books like Wren and Martin. Read all basic concepts in grammar like tenses, Active and Passive voice concepts, Direct and Indirect speech concepts etc. To solve reading comprehension and paragraph formation questions practice more and more problems. Try to understand the gist of paragraph so that you can solve questions easily. The more you practice the more you will be perfect in verbal ability section.
